thanks ani bay!
ako paning tiguman.
asa nindut palitan aning External HDD ug CDwriter
this can also be used in Desktops ryt?
it will also run on desktops via USB. i'm currently using a 3.5" 80GB HDD on a USB enclosure for both my laptop and desktop PC. for the same price as the 2.5" 40GB HDD, you get twice the capacity:
enclosure - P950
3.5" 80GB - P3,100 (WD) or P3,200 (Maxtor) or P3,400 (Seagate) or you can opt for a 120GB HDD
IMHO, this would be a better setup. the only drawback is, the enclosure require its own power supply. but i see it's no problem since you're also considering an external CD-writer (which also has its own power supply)
people : what do you mean by - "2.5" or "3.5" ? unsa man ang considerations in choosing which is which?
unsa pud nang "usb 2.0 connectivity" ? lain lain diay sukod ang usb?
pls educate me on this.
thanks!
2.5" drives are those that are used in laptops. Some call these mobile hard drives. The 3.5" are those hard drives for pc. The one mostly found in desktop computers.
As for the USB - Universal Serial Bus, this is a standard interface so any usb terminal or port is identical. It will only vary in the version (which includes the transfer speed, electrical features, etc.).
For external drives you have two options. first, if you go for portability and lightweight, consider 2.5" drives. Second, if you go for capacity (200GB Max.), you get the 3.5" drives.
@Vino Kid: you have 2 external mobile hard drives. the one on top, asa ka palit sa enclosure?
