Help! Setting up WiFi on shared internet

Mga experts/sirs/ma'ams, dili ko sure if sakto ba title but need unta ko tabang unsa pgset-up ug WiFi sa shared internet. newbie kaau ko about ani.. then dili ko kabalo unsaon pgexplain.. hehehe. will try my best..

Shared Internet
- compound with several rooms
- each room have internet ports installed (plug lng ka RJ45 if gnahan ka mo gamit sa internet)
- therefore, the internet is shared for all the tenants

Question: unsaon nako pag
- set-up WiFi pra mgamit nko ako Laptop without plugging it
- mka gamit ko internet with more than one device
- unsa nga Wireless router ako pwede paliton
- unsa pagset-up ani
- if na set-up na ang router, pwede ba na mabutangan ug password?

Hopefully naexplain nko maayo..hehehehe..

u can try this one...
1. palit ug wireless router,any brand would satisfy ur requirement
2. read the pakapin nga manual, naay guide didto unsaon pag-access ang wireless router.
3. access wrouter using the rj45 cable. kun ma-access na nimo, adto dayon sa wireless setup section, i-set ang SSID name, broadcast aron makit-an, select channel bisan unsa pwede. i-disable ang 802.11b, enable ang 802.11g/n. ayaw kalimot set sa password aron naay security imo wireless network, use tkip. consult manual/guide lng jud permi. i-save kun ok naka.
4. access the wrouter again, this time disable the dhcp server option. disable the nat (kun naay feature nga ing-ana) & save. mo-reboot ang wireless router......
note: timan-i ang ipadd (new lingo ip address) nga imo gigamit pag-access sa router for future troubleshooting.
4. kuha ug rj45 cable, (naay pataban kun mo-buy ka ug brandnew) i-connect ang pikas tumoy ngadto sa rj45 port naa sa bongbong sa imo room, ang pikas tumoy adto sa lan port "sa lan port baya jud ha" sa wireless router.
5. tanggala ang imo rj45 cable nag connect sa wireless router ug laptop
6. i-check kun na detect naba ang wireless router sa imo laptop, click and connect, enter password, and ok na. ang imo wireless router access point na.

note: kalingawi lng ug explore imo wrouter, open lng permi si mr.google for online help.

Sa #4 nga steps murag no need na kai kung e disable na nimo dili ka connect ug daghang client.. you should enable it so that maka connect tanan nimo computer..

ako ng gi-ing-ana to meet the requirement as stated;

so meaning, there is another dhcp server running in the network kay plug ra man daw unya maka net na. ang wrouter mi-act as bridge lng between the lan & wlan.

Ahhh..ok.. got it.. abi man nko nga ang imong e disable nga dhcp is ang LAN Sa router. Yup sakto ka sir mas maau nga e static nimo ang WLAN sa router.. Naa pud problem ni kung mag reset sa network ang tagiya sa building need pud ka mo setup sa router balik.

ff-up question lang sa kay TS: ganahan ko mahimo wifi hotspot within lang sa among house, pra bisan naa lang ko sa terrace ug sa living area naa ghapon ko access of data.
1) Unsa set-up buhaton?
2) Pls suggest a router unit? Where to buy? estimated cost?
3) PLano pa ko mo subscribe ug new service from TELCO/ (kay amo existing PLDT Landline plus guba na ang modem nya wala na warranty) Kanang WI-Max sa GLobe pwede ra na sya ma serve as my router para dli nako mo buy ug separate unit?

sayun na kaayo setup ang mga router ron bro, kay nana siyacd pakapin, nya pwdi kato lang imong gamiton setup, mura ra siya ug plug and play.

#2 lng ako ma answer boss.. hehehe.. sa Thinking Tools ko kapalit. ~1.5k up ang price sa wifi router depende sa brand.. ako napalit ky kato ang D-Link DIR-600 router nila.. so far ok man...
