First of all, it's not probably the culprit but the buyer.
Second, the police does not have the technology to trace but may be able to conduct an entrapment operation.
The harder part is providing hard evidence to claim the phone, maybe by presenting the official receipt bearing the phone's serial number/identification numbers if you still have it.
i wonder how that "tracker" works nga wa man nimo pangitaa ang result sa imong tracker....
activate self-destruct mode...
i think police cant locate it unless with the help of the provider like Globe, Smart, etc... dali rana nila ma locate as long as naka ON ang cellphone.
same ni sa akong phone na kawat then na contact pa nako..if postpaid to report sa network subscriber, or if u have the serial # pa block sa NTC.
Mobile operators can only see which specific cellsite the mobile is tuned to...I don't think they already have the network feature to pinpoint the mobile position coordinates for some reasons. e.g. legality, business potential, etc...this feature is called Mobile Positioning System (MPS). Well, even if they already have this feature, how can one exactly pinpoint the mobile user in the area coordinates provided?
I agree that the hardest part is to proof ownership of the mobile phone unit. If you have the receipt with the phone IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity unique to every single mobile phone unit), the best you can do is report its lost and apply to deactivate this IMEI so no one can use it. You can go to NTC to inquire about this process and requirements.
As mentioned, the Mobile Positioning System is a solution that our Telcos need to buy from their network vendors. This is one of the optional features that comes with a price. And also, considering the current SW versions of their network to be able to support the feature. Upgrades of the network is also another huge investments. In short, it depends on business opportunities to introduce this feature/solution and legality..Bottomline, if there is no market demands, there is no business. Hence, the Telcos will not invest on this.
ako lng ni ha... is it really that worth it to take back a material that was long gone? kung ako cguro bahala na sila unsaon nila na ako butang basta i know i still have the people i cared for mas importante sila... pero if gusto jud nimu mabalik ang phone? mas maau ang suggestion ni YJOB above...![]()
