What to know before buying new ram?

i need new ram but being an indecisive person when it comes to my rig, i am not sure nwhich to get.

wait this is not going where you think....

i am not going to ask which ram to get but instead ask for advice such as:

1.best manufactures

2.manufactures to avoid

3.what to look for in spec

4.info about timimgs

5.anything else i should know

Unsa na speed sa RAM imuhang Gamiton ug unsa na type DDR,DDR2 o DDR3? Para asa ang RAM, pang gaming? then pila budget?

1. Mostly bisan unsa na manufacturer reliable man sad, kingston,G.Skill,Corsairs,Patriot

2. Wala man tingali...

3. speed and timings

4. tighter timings is better, pero depende sad sa imuhang MoBo...

4.info about timimgs - Lower numbers indicate fewer clock cycles are needed, implying faster performance.

If you're not planning on overclocking and all that sort, difference between expensive and value-select ones is negligible in real-time performance and most of the time don't really matter (unless you're really a speedfreak which can count on milliseconds). All you have to worry about is compatibility. Make sure your motherboard supports the memory module.

- Compatibility is the first thing you need to be concerned...read your motherboard manual esp. the QVL...

- any brand will do kung wala kai special needs(OC'ing etc.)...Windows have no brand preferences...all ram just appears sa ram pages to it...
