Default SWS, Pulse Asia, and other surveys

Just out of curiosity, has any of you istoryans ever been 'surveyed' by these groups? Can you say something about how these were done?

I find the results of these surveys dubious, specially if they claim it is a national survey. For instance, I find it difficult to believe the president's recent trust and approval rating for instance of 74 and 72%, respectively.

    What's your take on this?

National Surveys = Surveys conducted on Manila

^^ That is what I am thinking.

To reiterate: Is there any istoryan, or maybe even someone you know, who may have been part of any survey done by these entities?

I have no idea how they conduct their surveys, nor do I believe the sampling size they use is adequate or representative of the voting populations and general population of the Philippines...Then again, I do not know their methods. I don't know anyone who has participated in the surveys in any point in time.

^^ mao lagi na ang pangutana ug representative ba jud ang respondents sa general population nato.

Kabahin sa sa poverty rate nga ni.lower daw, mani.obra pud na sa administration karon. Gi.lower ang poverty threshold para mugawas nga ni.lower pud ang number of people who are poor. Am trying to look for the link and will post this later.

The point is, these surveys seem to be directed at influencing the mind sets of the people viewing it but who do not necessarily give it more thought or at least analyze its implications. Murag gi.condition ba para daghan ang makuyog sa panon...

^^ so ug sa manila ra, dili unta sila mu.ingon nga 'national' ang survey.

I have yet to meet someone or even meet someone who knows someone, or even someone who knows someone who knows someone who was a respondent to any of these firms' surveys. in Cebu.

SWS covers National surveys. Of course it includes VisMin regions.
They also have surveys for the National Capital Region ONLY.

    Social Weather Stations
    SWS Survey Data Bank

    PulseAsia: Story
If you read the articles above, you'd learn that these surveys are being conducted in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

If you are old enough, you should see a trending of this surveys in TV. Even before ERAP's time. And I believe it is somewhat accurate.

    After all the scandals

After all the "pamemersonal kay GMA at Corona" - if you think this isn't right, then you are probably in Cebu.
