Uninterruptible Power Supply for Servers

can anyone recommend or do you know of any UPS that will last for a long time (not just 15 to 30mins). preferably hours after a brownout...
we need it for our servers...

also, do you know is such UPS can also "shutdown" a server when its power is really low?

Please, If you can post the model, brand and where to buy it.

Look for these Cebu vendors.. Comfac (Powerware), EXi (Siemens), lots others for APC..
back-up time is determined by your actual load as well as capacity of batteries that you use..
.. or rather, tell them your load and back-up time requirements and they'll make a config for you.

they can provide 6kva UPSes up to 1-hour backup time or more (even at full load)...

these UPSes can provide SNMP monitoring and interface to your servers to trigger a shutdown.

Extended backup power (over the weekend?) for UPS may be too expensive ..
Consider investing in a generator with ATS.
The Automatic Transfer Switch should automatically start your genset.
