The PCCL Qualifying Games started yesterday. The games weren't televised. The UM Hawks beat TIP, while the NU Bulldogs beat the Lyceum Pirates. In today's games, the CEU Scorpions beat SFAC, while the DLSU Green Archers eliminated the Mapua Cardinals 56-51. The winners will go on to face each other tomorrow (UM vs NU, and DLSU vs CEU). The winners of tomorrow's matches will move on to the Sweet 16.

Mas pabor pa San Beda ug Ateneo, hehe. Murag klaro na man na UC maka-lusot sa ilang bracket. Maninuod na si Junmar ana kay usa gud na sa iyang rason nga nagpa-bilin pa siya sa UC this year.

In today's games, NU beat UM to advance to the Sweet 16. The second game is still going on right now but La Salle is creaming CEU so it's apparent that the Green Archers will be advancing as well.

    Updated bracket

As it turns out, the lofty positions awarded to UC and SWU as the CESAFI finalists comes with a catch, sila ra gyud diay ang CESAFI representatives. This puts a stop to UV's and USC's respective streaks of PCCL Sweet 16 appearances. I don't know how strong the other teams in the other Vis-Min leagues are, but it's safe to say that the Webmasters and Cobras are on a collision course for the right to face the overlords of the collegiate basketball empire a.k.a. Ateneo (and/or Beda, should they manage an upset).
