i got an asus P4V533-mx that actually works fine for many months until such time last week, i bought a video card, 9250 ati radeon and installed it into my P4v533-mx, after a day i just found out that my keybaoard ang mouse went crazy, i cant controll the mouse and the keyboard wont function. i tried removing the vcard and used the onboard video but same problem happen, i tried re formatting and again set up XP on it but same problem.
Got any idea about this problem? anybody might want to share?

did you try swapping for a known good keyboard and mouse? if na-try nimo den.. it might be the mobo itself is failing.. particularly the PS/2 port controller.. PIC controller ba kaha...

this is an issue that i have observed with ASUS boards as they age. no offense, but i have observed this kind of problem for a sizable number of ASUS mobos already.
PS2 keyboard controller/PS2 mouse controller stopped functioning, and can't be fixed even after updating BIOS or replacing the PS2 port.
this boils down to the malfunctioning Super I/O chip.
