your right Teb, this is for typing and internet surfing. But for gaming, ?.
The processor and motherboard is fine. You need to increase your RAM and have a descent video card.
You may consider having a DVD drive.

Peace bro... nice typing and internet surfing.

    as cool as ice...

Okay all financial reasoning put aside. here's what you should do if you are buying a new or building a new pc. DITCH the Pentium based chips as they are over rated and over priced. I highly suggest going with AMD chips since over 75% of the gamers in the US use AMD because they are far mroe reliable and better in terms of performance to price ratio, not only this but if you are going to tingle in the area of overclocking if you have a good cpu fan AMD will belittle Pentium anyday of the week. I have not met one serious gamers yet who uses Pentium for gaming extremes. Go to any site like dell xps or alienware chances are they are using the AMD chips.

In terms of motherboard go with either of the following brands: ASUS, GIGABYTE, ABIT, MSI is also not bad but I recommend the first three

Video Card: ditch the intel integrated graphics and make sure your motherboard has the capability of pci express slot..the higher the number the better the performance, providing you purchase a video card that matches that number or exceeds it. There are two main video card chip makers. ATI and INVIDIA here's the basis gist of the two
ATI: It's like a fine tuned exotic sports car where touches here and there make it fined tuned for overall gameplay and or CAD usage.
NVIDIA: This is more like an american sports car...raw power and sucks up a lot of energy. For serious gamers they usually will go with this like in shooter games. it also holds descently in overall performance.
Both are good makers, its really up to preference. I have owned both. personally I prefer the NVIDIA because ATI drivers and the Catalyst multimedia software provided with ATI is usually squirrely and sometimes doesnt work 100% as I am having problems right now. If you are the type of person who likes to tweak and play with advanced settings then go with ATI..if you want ready set go high performance without much tinkering tot he software, video card settings go with NVIDIA

Memory: 256...Well if you are running a form of Windows Xp and using it mainly for gaming usage of CAD or photo editing etc, i suggest you bump it up to at least 1 gig of ram

Hard drive. This should be fine, unless you do a lot of work which entails things like pictures, movies, and the collection of porn and divx movies in your hard drive

Cd Drive: Get a dvd r/w burner you wont have to worry anymore or hassle with anything else...Screw blue-ray sony pretty much forced that on the consumers which they didnt want to begin with...soo damn overpriced

Casing: 400 watt power supply mroe than enough...more than enough unless you decide to purchase a mtoherboard that has the capabilities of dual NVIDIA top of the line video cards

Again this is if finances are not a strain and you can go on a buying spree of goodies. otherwise what you have is good enough for the everyday user of microsoft word, internet browsing, and your ocassional viewing of porn or whatever movies you downloaded of the internet.
