id vote for the ufc fighter compared to pro boxers, since their fighting is more related to real streetfight

If the Rules to be played on Sport Boxing then an M.M.A Athlete will have a tremendous difficulty of achieving a K.O. on a Pro Boxer; But if the rules is on M.M.A. then pwerteng Kulataha/Ka-balang sa Pro Boxer.

    M.M.A - ( Mix Martial Arts ) = Standup Fighting, Shootfighting, GroundFighting & Takedowns.

    boxing has more money.

you think manny pacquiaw will fight under ufc? even if hes one good boxer? UFC champions simply do not compare to boxing champions(money wise)

the only reason that you sustain more damage to the brain during a boxing match is because boxing matches are long, ang boxers are head hunters (they go for the head) multiply the number of punches a boxer takes in 1 round, now multiply it to the number of rounds, so assuming you get 10 punches to the head/per round and you go the distance in a 5 round fight, youd have 50 punches to the head, whereas MMA or Vale Tudo has different targets to hit, or different ways to win, hence the brain doesnt sustain much damage, but in my opinion boxing is the best "punching" art, and you can use it in the streets, assuming your opponent doesnt shoot for you legs, thats where wrestling comes into action (sprawl), so any style by itself is useless, or if you only do boxing and your facing a muay thai fighter, well make sure you have kness as hard as metal, else you fall down like a tree, so boxer vs. mma fighter in the street, think about it, which is a bigger target punching a head (one knockout punch) or shooting for the legs, which do you think has more chance of success, which ever is the answer wins in a street fight, even bums (or kids for that matter) end their fight in the ground, no figures correctly state how much of streetfights end in the ground (gracies say its 90%), but do you know that the best in the mma world are that good because of their boxing ex. fedor, gomi, iceman, hendo, anderson silva (with a bit of muay thai), etc. so its not really about the style its the person using it, how bad would it be to study for your english pop quiz for one month only to find out on exam day that the test is for math.

and the only reason that boxing is a money sport is because it got to vegas first, now you ask why ufc is in vegas? its because its where the money is, gambling is legal there. give mma 10 years its gona surpass boxing, with the exception of our filipino boxers, the boxing world has been marred by boxers who fight not to win, but fight not to lose, thats why pacquiao is the sheeit.

bjj, wrestling, boxing and muay thai (in no particular order)

we cant tell that a good pro boxer could be beaten by a mma fighter if they fight in the ufc. but boxers have usually greater stamina and power than a mma. but there are also kickboxers that had good success in boxing. vitali klitschko is one of them. before he went to boxing, he was a kickboxer. he won 2 world titles duirng amatuer and 4 world titles during pro kickboxing. mostly boxers who went to mma are the ones who get few success in boxing. but only very few mma have good success in boxing. if mike tyson and vitor belfort will fight during tyson's prime, i will go for mike tyson because he was too powerful and fast during his prime. imo, an ungloved fist of tyson with full force could even kill a person. ufc uses only a thin padding so this means a shot from mike tyson will be twice more damaging during the fight but if the present mike tyson will fight vitor in ufc, vitor will have a chance because mike tyson stamina couldnt last more that 4 rounds in boxing. but if ali will fight a mma, his ring movement will turn a mma fighter into a pulp before going for a kill. remember, its easier to move in a octagon ring than a square one. if i have to choose between an elite mma against an elite boxer, i would choose the boxer because the boxer will surely have wrestling and submission lessons before fighting in a mma tournament

speaking of stamina? do you do ground fighting? with tyson vs. vitor belfort, who do you think has enough time to go on the defensive, tyson learning wrestling, which in reality never in his life he has tackled, or vitor belfort who knows enough of defensive boxing to at least evade some head punches and go for the shoot, who do you think is more like to happen getting knocked out by a pundh, or getting taken down? have you sparred with someone who shoots first, mounts second, and punches (gnp) third? but if it was purely boxing then i go for tyson, but if you go mma? well heck, dont you realize that the accuracy of a head punch is not that high, thats why in boxing its very very common that the 2 adversary would get into a clinch, even tyson gets into the clinch, so consider this who wins in the clinc, the boxer who is used to stalling the the clinch or the mma fighter who can work from the clinch? and speaking about old time obxers going into mma, well thats a money matter imo, just wait, it all really depends on the person, like when i spar in kickbox i rely more on my boxing than on my kicks, as i do in mma its more boxing for me rather than kicks (dont kick hihg in mma-unless you have baseball bat for legs ex. crocop, yvel) youll get tossed, and speaking of power have been slammed by a boxer before? boxing is powerful on one thing alone 'punches" because thats what they all do, its like a blind man, he has enhanced hearing, because thats what he has. tomorrow saturday will be my boxing day, my training partner is an ex-pro, ill try to post picts to demonstrate my point, but if he catches me with a lucky punch im done, but i think my double leg takedwon is more accurate and has more rate of success than his one knockout punch.
    IMO
