Front Disk Brake convertion

hey istoryans, ask lang unta ko sa mga nka sulay na diha ug pa convet sa ila "FRONT" drum brake to Disk Brake.
pila ako ma gasto mga migo, kung pa convert ko? ug asa inyo ika recomend na store or shop para mo convert sa ako motor.

yamaha vega ZR diay ako motor mga migo, bago paman ko aning motor motor gud, so ako napalit na motor ang drum brake na motor..... MODS pls close if sayop ako post.....

Papi, tried it before with my wave...dako2x sad ka magasto paps depende sa gusto nimu na level sa imi brakes...but mao ni list sa mga possible na mailisdan nimu.

Front shock outer cver(stock will probably not be appropo for the coversion)- 2 to 3k
Front wheel hub(choice of either chrome or ordinary hub)- 500 to 800
Disk plate(either mag stock ka or big plates or other modified plates)- 500 to 1.2k
Brake assy e.g caliper & etc (dunno pila sa yamaha ang orig but daghan ka ka pilian ani. I used rusi brakes during my conversion kay libre ra sa shop migo man before then nag change rapud ko to brembo na calipers)
Modified brake levers syempre para choy tanawn- 350 to 500
Modify ur plastic cowling sa headlyt to accomodate the brake assy or what i did was purchase a whole new set of head which already has a cut out for the brake assy. - labor ma bayarN nimu guro is mga 500 pa cutout then if new plastic head gyud kay 700-800 guro nt sure though kay 2009 pato.

Then Bayad paka labor ani...basta ako estmate na gasto is mga 6-7k diod hhehe mahal2x sad xa uie. But saun ta man mas lami man tanawn if naka disc brake. Again it could be na mas barato or mas mahal ang conversion nimu kay mine was honda and urs is a yamaha. Lahi gyud presyo sa mga parts nato. But again pag budget lang gyud ug dako2x daan.

Mas maka barato ka paps if ikaw mismo mu kumpra sa imu nahan nga pyesa sa mga shops sa lane, manalili or mandaue. Malingaw paka and ma suheto ka. Maka barato pa diod. Kaysa mu asa raka sa usa ka shop sa tanan kailangan nimu. Better start lukng for a very good mechanic hu can do the conversion for u. Then ask the parts list then kumpra na dayon ka. Just be very patient bai and be sure of what u really want. Do not settle for "ay ok nalang ni uie" unless ur on a tyt budget. But again brake conversion is not a joke bai. Ur messing around with the most basic and impt. safety device sa imu motor. U can never afford to be cheap. Kay buhay mo ang katapat ani if imu ni tihik2x.an...

Basta be patient and be meticulous during ur conversion. Good luck and happy hunting.

@RecceRifle: salamat sa reply paps, but i think dili na goro ko mag palit ug head light asembly, kay ang sa vega nko ready naman siya, na na siya hulma para sa brake master cylinder, ang sa mga trend sad sa vega diri sa istorya said, sakar ra daw ang set sa honda wave sa amo mga motor.....
ako budget is 5K more or less, depende sa bonus karong pasko, salamat kayo papas, realy learned a lot...... till next time

Bro, kung naa ka makita na cheaper 2nd hand parts like stock outer tube (katung mga nag ilis ug outer tube sa Wave), & stock disk plate para mas mka baratu ka... Brand new brake disk ky mga 400+...
Ang brake master & caliper set naa ra na sa mga 800 cguro then ang hub ky mga 500+...
So mga 2-3k magasto nimo Bro... Just be wise lng in buying parts para mka less ka sa gastos...

5 yrs ago nagpa convert ko sa akong aura classic ug front disc brake, ako ra namalit sa mga parts naka gasto ko ug mga 5k. mga pang china motorcycle ra nga parts akong gipamalit. like mga parts sa lifan or motorstar.
