hello peeps........kinsa kahibaw or naka try na ug update sa BIOS firmware sa MOBO 915 GAV intel?

my frind told me not to update such firmware because if masayup ka ug update ma guba ang BIOS and dili na mu gana ang MOBO

i've never tried flashing thru DOS, pero i've tried na using a program specifically for flashing my mobo(Abit). i did try flashing my Vidcard thru DOS, it was successful, pero gi paningot jd ko ug bog-bog hehehe... if you are not confident on doing it, dont do it at all! there's a saying na, "if its not broken, dont fix it".

ok rana e update basta di lang ma off or ma error ang system while updating. kun di patay na mobo nimo.

i've flashed many boards in MSDOS, i like it better in DOS mode coz i feel exclusive kaayo ang program running alone. hadlok ko flashing using windows utilities espcecially kung dili ako ang MOBO, who knows. some malicious code might hang up the windows system midway.

also i recommend plugging your system on a UPS while flashing, always check and recheck your MOBO model number, PCB number, revision numbers etc etc... coz sometimes, a mother board model might have different revisions etc.

MAKE SURE 100% THAT THE BIOS IS 100% ABSOLUTELY FOR YOUR SPECIFIC BOARD

flashing the bios is a relatively safe thing to do if you do all things right.

i have tried more that 5 times.

update BIOS if you want extra upgrade on your board's feature. update BIOS if current is messing you up already. update BIOS for experience. ^_^

been flashing several motherboards... havent failed yet

but there is always a risk... just like any other advise, do it at your own risk

so be careful
