Default Leaked Samsung roadmap includes Ice Cream Sandwich powered phone

A retailer that sells Samsung handsets and accessories has leaked a roadmap showing some big screened handsets and more allegedly coming from the Korean manufacturer. First up is the GT-I9250. This model is powered by Ice Cream Sandwich and offers a 4.65 inch screen with resolution of 720 x 1280. The only other thing known about this model is the 5MP camera on board. Unless that is the front facing camera, it would seem strange for a model that would appear to be so high-end to be released with a camera that has just 5MP to its name.

The next model, the GT-I9220, will be a Gingerbread flavored phone with a massive 5.29 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with resolution of 720 x 1280. A 1.4GHz dual-core processor keeps things humming while an 8MP camera is on back. Also expected from Samsung is the GT-I9210. Offering a 4.5 inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800, this unit has 4G connectivity and dual cameras. The one on back is 8MP while a 2MP shooter graces the front. A 1750mAh battery will be powering the device. The roadmap mentions Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 3.0 all packed into a device that weighs 4.5 ounces.

As we slowly come back to earthly specs, the GT-I8150 is an Android phone that has a 3.7 inch WVGA display with a 5MP rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. Video can be captured at 720p running at 30fps. There is 4GB of internal storage and Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 3.0 are all aboard along with an FM radio and HSPA+ connectivity. The last phone mentioned is also Android powered, although it sounds BlackBerry-esque, as the B5510-W41, with a code name of "Luisa", has a 2.8 inch screen, a QWERTY keyboard and a 3MP camera.

The one tablet on the roadmap appears to be the P6200, the sequel to the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The OS is updated to Honeycomb although the 7 inch screen with resolution of 1024 x 600 is the same as that found on the original version. There is both a rear and front-facing camera at 3MP and 2MP respectively.

We would love to get the rest of the story on the GT-I9250. As the lone Ice Cream Sandwich phone listed on the roadmap, it would be nice to know what exactly will be under the hood. And a picture of the GT-I9220 would be nice, with that 5.29 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen. It's nice to know that Samsung isn't sitting back and basking in the glow of success it is having with the Samsung Galaxy S II.

Samsung Galaxy S II's 4.3 screen is already big enough to be uncomfortable in the hand. If 4.65 and 5.29 inch screens will be released, it will be like carry a tablet around.
