SteelSeries announces its third WoW mouse by VR-Zone.com
Apparently the way forward for many of the PC peripheral makers are game tie-in products and SteelSeries has announced its third World of Warcraft mouse, the MMO Mouse Legendary Edition. This time around we're looking at something a little bit less gaudy compared to the previous two models, even though it's far from bling free.
The WoW MMO Mouse Legendary Edition seems to share its basic design philosophy with the SteelSeries Ikari , but it's clear it's not the same mouse with a new paint job. We're looking at 11 buttons that apparently have a 130 pre-set game commands, a CPI of 800 to 3,200 by the means of an optical sensor, adjustable polling rate and a rather large backlit WoW logo with 16.8 million colour options with four level of pulsation.
Apparently the WoW MMO Mouse Legendary Edition was developed with input from Blizzard and it was designed to be a "smaller, less complex gaming mouse that delivers the same impressive functionality found in the original and Cataclysm versions." With an MSRP of US79.99 (S$97) it's still a fairly expensive mouse, but on part with other gaming mice. It should hit retail sometime in September and it works with both PCs and Macs.
