    Default Have you seen Poleteismo?

what is it? i'ts Christ with symbols of pop culture and includes a crucifix with a movable p*n*s.

Poleteismo is an old piece first shown in 2002 at the Vargas Museum of the University of the Philippines. Mr. Cruz wasn’t thinking of the Reproductive Health Bill when he conceived Poleteismo nine years ago.

I havent seen it but agree with the artist but i dont find it offensive.
I agree with the artist interpretation.

"Images are open to various interpretations on the basis of the viewer’s perspective, maturity and imagination"

“My images are mere representations of things we see in ourselves”

He should Not do that if he respects the belief of other people. Its a form of mockery for me. Why use the crucifix for that matter? he can create a doll on his own image and put a Big Movable PE*NIS on it. Im Not a Catholic but i respect them on what they do and respect the things that they believe are scared to them.

If Martin Luther had any respect for the Catholic Church during his time, you wouldn't belong to whatever non-Catholic Christian denomination you belong to right now.

i still want to see the whole picture/artwork.

judging from this picture, i think the it's saying:

    Dear World,

Religion is like a p3*is. It's fine to have one and it's fine to be proud of it, but please don't whip it out in public and start waving it around... and PLEASE don't try to shove it down my child's throat.

Sincerely, tired of hearing your religious guff
this applies to any religion or atheist. the point is not to push your beliefs on people.
