Hi good day everyone! i would just like to share my experience on our male Chinese sharpei..when we bought him at first ok pa ang tanan until he reaches at the age of 5 months. natingala na lng ko nga he can't open his left eye, so abi ko naa lng abog or any particle nga nka sulod sa iyang eye. so ako ra sad gi wash but after 2 days ang duha na jud ka eyes nya dili na jud mo open cge nlng ga piyong.. then i decided nga ipa check.up nlng jud sa vet. the doctor says ENTROPION daw ang iya sakit sa mata. here's the definition of
ENTROPION - is a medical condition in which the eyelid (usually the lower lid) folds inward. It is very uncomfortable, as the eyelashes constantly rub against the cornea. Entropion is usually caused by genetic factors and may be congenital.Entropion has been documented in most dog breeds, although there are some breeds (particularly purebreds) that are more commonly affected than others. These include the Akita, Pug, Chow Chow, Shar Pei, St. Bernard, Cocker Spaniel, Boxer, Springer Spaniel, Labrador Retriever, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Neapolitan Mastiff, Bull Mastiff, Great Dane, Irish Setter, Shiba Inu , Rottweiler, Poodle[2] and particularly Bloodhound. paita lagi mga bro, mag hilak akong partner mg tan.aw sa iyaha ky shes the owner of our sharpei(butchoy). luoy jud kau until now dili na jud ma open iya eyes. the vet says pwede ra maulian kung i undergo ug surgery and it will costs 12 thousand.. basin naay kahibalo mo opera diha mintras nag save pko ug money for the operation.. sabot2x lng ta sa bayad kung mahimo. I'm making this thread for butchoy basin naa moy kaila diha nga mo opera nga dili kaayo mahal and at least aware sad mo nga pwede ma ing ani inyo pet dog.

I had a puppy na same case sad sa imo na ENTROPION.. Since ur puppy is still 5 months, d pa man kailangan mo undergo ug surgery coz according to my vet, mo grow pa man ang puppy so eventually mo stretch ra to iya folded eyelid.. As long as dili lang ma infect ang iya mata.. Mao to akong puppy, wala cya na undergo ug surgery coz naa man to eye dropper iya g recommend sa amo.. twice a day ang medication para ang mata dili ma infected sa folded na eyelid.. BTW, have you also consulted your concern to the other vets??
