I think there was an article about Chris either The Freeman or Cebu Daily News about this. Just forgot which day.

Incidentally, members of the CA3, on a visit to Chris Go's place for a little stargazing last April 27, 2011 were fortunate enough to see the raw images associated with this co-authored letter. The document had to undergo peer review before the news gets released to the public.

Update: I guess people appreciate an article better if there are some photos. So here's a Cassini photo of the said storm:

...it shows the storm's (offically named Northern Electrostatic Disturbance or NED) dynamics. And this is just a ground-based C11 telescope based at Ma. Luisa...

Just a clarification--the large image above is NOT taken from any earth-based telescope, but a picture taken by the Cassini spacecraft, which has been orbiting the planet Saturn since 2004.

No problem I have access to the journal. There is also a supplementary information document. It shows the list of member of the IOPWAT and their equipment. It's nice to know that Philippines is well represented.

A rotating planet? Jupiter is the fastest rotating planet and the largest so I expect to see it revolve even a little bit. But maybe i was just expecting too much for a small scale telescope.
