How to find out usb port path in Ubuntu?

Hi to all,

My brad using Ubuntu. I connected a serial port to usb port converter to the system. Now I want to access the device. He need to have the path to that device?
How can I find out?

You can check by using `dmesg`

Usually usb serial devices can be found at /dev/ttyUSB0, /dev/ttyUSB1...

adto sa terminal then log in as root.


then type ----> cd /dev/ttyUSB0

or

type------------> cd /dev/ttyUSB1

After plugging in the device type `dmesg` in the terminal. Without the quotes.
