I've been surfing around and noticed that a lot of istoryans have been arguing and bashing about over threads made by certain person(s).
I'm new here, and i usually see my friend typing like mad on a forum. I decided to check it out and saw that she was angry at something being said, though it wasnt persoanlly pointed to her. I wondered.. why bother? Would it make her feel better by raging on? Or would it just provoke her anger more? No one was telling her to comment anyway.. she was commenting on her free well. So.. it's pretty much self-inflicted.
As "healthy" as the discussion may be (as to enhancing our understanding/horizons), we may tend to get a little impulsive and emotionally/intellectually offended by the thread.
Many of us disagree with the thread and some, MORE than disagree with it. XD
if we know that we will get offended or hurt by statements in the thread, let's not self-inflict pain by constantly defending.
Let's not raise our own blood pressures by entertaining it, if you know that the thread is just another source of entertainment for certain other(s).
Leave it be.. save ourselves from the grief, and let certain other(s) grow rinkles from their own raising blood pressures.
CHEERS!

PS: to those who enjoy the threads, I'm not stopping you
