The 20, 30, 50, 60, is the # of seconds it takes a given amount of oil, to drip/run thru a "standard" sized orifice at a standard temp. The "w' means it meets the "cold weather" standard.
In other words, the HIGHER the #, the 'thicker' the oil.

its about viscosity. meaning gelaputon in bisaya. the more laput the more less iya lubrication dali ra maluto ang oil.iya duty cycle dali ra and u need to change oil again.

lesser viscosity means mas liquid siya pirmi and can accommodate higher operating temp. dili dali maluto. lower viscosity mas maau.

Depende sa specs requirement sa imo makina.. multigrade oil na sya and they are right it's all about viscosity..

General specs:

15W-40 is usually for turbocharged old school diesel engines..
5W-30 or 10W-30 is usually for the new generation common rail direct injection diesel engines.
5W-50 or 10W-50 (ex Mobil 1) : for high performance petrol engines..
CC, CD, CE, CF, CG, etc etc.. these are single grade engine oils used for those old school diesel engines..

Always follow your car manual instructions.

ahhhh.. the lower the viscosity mas maau diay ..i use MC diay... thanks kaayu sa mga ni share...

my manual says use 20w 50...or higher

so if i use 15w 40? ok ra?..

i suggest use sprint 4t for ur mc... appropriate engine oil for motorcycle.
