I'm not actually Filipino, but my girlfriend is and she was laughing at me for not pronouncing something in Tagalog properly! Anyway, I know it's a bit rude of me, but could anybody record themselves saying this line for me in Tagalog, preferably quite slowly so I can make it out and learn it.

"Sweetie, you're my special little nerd"

I hope that's possible

cackhen, i just realized i'm so poor indeed in filipino. look, the translation would be just:

"Iswiti, ikaw ang aking espeshal na munting nerd."

Bro, it's hardly romantic. it sucks. and google couldnt give me a tagalog term for 'nerd"...i guess there isn't one (just like we don't have a local term for "toothpaste"). but if you insist on it, some pointers:

say "iswiti" with a plain t not "isweedee", ok?

"ikaw" is pronounced i-kou, stress on the second syllable

"munting" is pronounced moon-ting, stress on the second syllable

"espeshal", stress on the 3rd syllable

"aking", stress on the first syllable

"nerd", well you know that already...you might add "cool" to make it "cool nerd"..how about that

now if she will still laugh at this then just laugh along. besides, you can have your laugh too when she misses to deliver her english sans-filipino accent, correct? all is fair in love and speech.
