Yes, you are correct. These people are illegal settlers but you may ask to yourself, why are these people have been settling there for a very long time? Does this consider that the owner really care about his property? Why not abolished them at the time they were started to settle in? Prior demolition, the mayor should provide any relocation or financial assistance to the settlers as they are qualified beneficiaries of the socialized housing program under Republic Act 7279 or the Urban Development and Housing Act (UDHA) of 1992.

its not about lack of education, this is not rocket science (common sense). its is about imposing the law and with an iron fist!!

I guess its better to think why there are informal settlers and people who prefer the slums in the city than their places of origin, dili man tanan sa ila tapulan.. its just that they cant afford education or their underqualified to the decent jobs available in the city.
Maski unsaon nato pag pahawa sa ila, mubalik jud na sila sa lain lugar, "squatters" gihapon na sila so mao japun "hugaw" gihapon sa view nibalhin ra nuon.
Instead of building hotels on that place a housing project for them would be a better alternative... kay ara man jud sila nipuyo kay duol ra sa ilang trabahoan... they wont transfer to places nga mahal para sa ila..

and about sa principle nga dili mag buhi or puyo kung dili kaya.. its not their fault entirely.. they just lack education and some guidance from the people who knew better.

Our constitution wont allow that, and many of them are there way before such laws and ordinances are created. Whether you like it or not, the law considers more the people who have less in life.
