Some laptops rely on fan profile management set by a software/driver, aside from this nothing much i can contribute but im sure this is whats happening. You may need to reinstall that driver/software.
TS: off-course reformatting would take time. so the longer usage will get heater. basin naka butang ra cguro sa higdaanan. walay klaro ang gawsanan sa ventilation. other than that you also need to use external fan.
Full throttle na during OS set-up, maximum speed ang CPU during set up and boot up. pag abot sa windows mamanage na dayun na siya via your software OS, driver and utility.

ok rana, pag palit lang og blower or fan sa cdr king, kana pad na butangan sa imo lappy nya naa fan sa ubos.
mas maau gani na kay ni init, ang kuyaw ang og dili na mo init. hehehe
@TS: I'm with Earlz on this one. It's quite probable that your laptop might use some kind of special software to throttle the CPU and GPU, which in turn result in lower temps. It's quite probable that during the install that special software was not installed and thus your lappy is quite hot.
BTW, what's the make, manufacturer or model number of your laptop
