CARB is important as it plays a significant role in the structure and function of the body organs, nerves and tissues- just the right amount of intake. Its main function provides energy and helps the regulation of blood glucose.

chosing the good carb is the key here. vegetables have carbs in them, even fruits...kaning bad carbs are usually from processed foods and the kind that immediately turns into sugar which the body is finding hard to expel. just like fats, it was once told that its bad for us, but there are good fats like omega3 from fish. we just need to be educated, dont stress yourself too much about it kay dili sad maau. too much of everything is bad. when u go too low on carbs, dili sad na maau.

A person can actually live WITHOUT CARBS. Whatever someone gets from carbs can actually be produced by the body. If its energy you need you can just get that from fat, which brings me to more controversy...FAT IS HEALTHIER THAN CARBS. Our body actually requires a certain amount of cholesterol and if its not supplied with that can cause a lot of illness and deficiency. I don't wanna get into all the science of it all in one post so coz that'll just be too long. So I'm just gonna wait for more people to challenge this claim and we'll see if you can prove me wrong.![]()

There has been no evidence that really proves ANY cholesterol causes any cardiovascular disease or any disorder for that matter. But the latest findings is that increase in insulin levels (caused by carbs) causes more than just diabetes or being hyperactive it also causes people to binge more coz it raises their appetite after the insulin drops after the rush. But here's the best part...increased levels of insulin have been found to BE THE CAUSES OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE.

As far as carbs being unessential to life, TS is right. Some Eskimos live on nothing but fat and protein.
