Default Is it okay to leave the wifi router on for 24 hours everyday?

I have a D-link dir-600 and I am currently turning the router off whenever I am not using it. Now, my questions are:

    1. Is it okay/safe to turn the router off whenever we're not using it or not? Why?
    2. If I put the router on for 24 hours everyday, how much does it consume on electricity in a day and in a month?

if hindi super loaded (torrent or heavy downloading), it should be ok. just make sure maganda ang cooling ng environment.

avoid placing the wifi router near the window kung saan maiinitan ng sunlight. hope this helps

    ok raman na siya 24/hrs.

depende nalang jud na sa quality sa unit imo napalit. If timingan nga maguba, malas. bisan pa dili walay gamit2x.

    based on experience.

daghan na ko na installan og edimax wifi router (sauna barato man uban mahal), most of it sa mga piso2x computer.

1 year kapin ra naguba lang kalit, namatay.

The router is placed on a table beside the monitor of a pc. As to downloading like torrents, i download 1 movie or tv series per day but not all the time.

I think i'll try to turn this router on and see if this doesn't consume a lot of energy/electricity. Thanks!
