local burgulars using sleeping spray in Bohol?

last week my house in Bohol was robbed while my family were sleeping.
the thieves got into the house earloy in the morning.
her sister (who lost her computer and laptop), stated that she smelt a bad spell then soon after that she went to sleep.

the thieves would have made some noise getting in, yet no one woke up.

My wife feels this could be a gang of professionals using a kid to gain entry.

I guess were lucky that no one woke up as the thieves could have killled my family. I guess they were lucky that I wasnt home as I would have killed anyone who threatened my family!

these are gutless thieving mongrels. We are charity workers giving books to the poor in Bohol mountain area schools. we rent a run down house and dont even own a car. Were poor ourselves but still help the underpriveledged as much as we can.

I pray to God that someone shoots these mongrel dogs dead while they are robbing someone.

I just wonder how many others lives have been impacted by these idiots and if they have hurt any of thier victems in the process?

so has anyone heard anything about sleeping sprays being used in robberies in Bohol or Cebu?

ghostrider, please don't wish death for anyone - not even the very ones who have robbed your house. That would make you no different from any other criminal.

I deeply sympathize with what happened to you and I am sorry to hear about your loss. What's most important is that nobody is hurt. I might also say that you were a bit lucky that you weren't around that time since they might have killed you or your entire family if you have tried to fight back. You said it yourself, your wife thinks that they are a gang of professionals. They could have easily killed you.

If you don't mind me asking, have you sought help from the officials?

I haven't heard any group of professional thieves that would induce sleep to their victims so that they may enter the house freely. These people should be caught as soon as possible and be sentenced behind bars for a very, very long time.

My wifes been to the police but they wont do much. I've always had better results doing things myself and gathering info thru the locals here. probably best to just forget it and fortify the house. we dont have much left to steal now anyway.

i was just doing some research and the sleeping spray thing could be an urban myth as its expensive stuff and hard to use. There may be alternatives but i wont go into them online...

so i dont know. maybe they were just quiet, but it doesnt explain the smell my wifes sister smelt just before she went to sleep...
