GAME ASSIGNMENT #3

Topic/Theme is Feet!"
This theme is dedicated to any shots involving our favorite mode of transportation, using our feet! Syaro dli pata ka shot, naa man tingali ta tanan ana, so any shots nga ang subject is feet, be it naked, clothed, shoed, in motion,old,ugly, pretty,dirty, baby etc... maski monochrome oks lang gihapon, the important thing is to have fun! and oh pwede sad Foot! hehehe

I like entry #3. A very nice shot of the foot and the water...

#1 The picture definitely has a very good subject. I feel there's a need to punch the saturation up a bit because the picture looks a bit dry. The rule of thirds wasn't followed but is just fine since the selective focusing on the feet part only more than makes up for leading the eye to the subject. This picture has my vote.

#2 The idea was pretty good. There's always a mystery created when only parts of the body are shown. I think it would've worked out much better that way if it were a tighter crop. With the current crop, with only the shoulder and up missing, I get distracted and my eyes tend to go up rather than down. I'm simply wondering what they look like if the whole picture were complete instead of going the opposite and looking at feet.

#3 Whoever owns that foot certainly has a lighter shade. I feel though that my eyes wander the picture trying to focus on something. I feel that the foot has too light a shade and that a levels or curves adjustment in post processing might've been able to keep my eyes focused more on the foot rather than the great looking water behind it.


#4 I think some drama was required to pull this off. It's certainly interesting in itself but unfortunately it feels like the shot was more of a quick snapshot rather than a composed one. It may have been an "opportunity shot" which could explain the composition and unwanted elements such as the severed toe at the bottom of the picture and the green slipper. Both feet including the ankle and a little of the leg itself might've been a better composition. I don't know if the shadow was intentional or not but I can't seem to see it working.

However, I think the DOF was to shallow almost blurring the nail and the blood drip. but still a good concept for this game.

i like entry #4...though i think it would fit better in a soil background to portray much of the "hardwork" theme coupled the the "feet" theme....or it would best fit in a mud or something like a sludge....but i still like the entry though....

my vote goes for entry #1...what else can be a fitting subject than CHrist's feet nailed on the cross? :mrgreen:

..but the pic needs a lil sharpening and contrast though

Very artistic.. for me, no need to add more contrast or sharpen a bit on that entry.. simple.. yet the emphasis of the subject gave much impact to the overall effect..

#1 i like this one. fitting title too.

#2 i think it could've been a better shot if wala na nakita ang sa may torso dapit. kay nindut ang subtle shadows and light sa skirt, kung sakto pud ang lighting.

#3 i was wondering unsay naka "haw-as" niya, but then there is a trickle of water sa heel dapit. so haw-as gyud diay. hehe. nindut pero too nice?

#4 i like the concept. kinahanglan lang panghinguko hihihi.

no.1: subject captures the emotions of the ever-religious Filipinos like me. nice subject but it would have been better in a worm's eye view.

no.2: i agree, cropping would've been better

no.3: i like this one. the fair foot complements the blue water. nice concept. nice title.

no.4: simplicity is okay. the not-so-good-looking toe is i think, the subject. hehehe..


i vote for no. 3!
