Default Focal (The Spirit of Sound)

    The Spirit of Sound

Innovation is key to the Focal sound. For 25 years, through the constant pursuit of new advances in technology, Focal has been able to develop a harmonious research and production system that enables us to continuously improve our products and introduce new ones and all with the same goal: the most accurate reproduction of music.

This constant pursuit of innovation embodies Focal’s corporate strategy and involves every facet of our company. From R&D and production to quality control, all of our teams are fully involved and focused on one objective: Continual Progress through Innovation.

In today’s world, where globalization and the pursuit of chasing cheaper production methods have tempted most companies to splinter their organizations, Focal has opted to be different. Though we have grown and expanded tremendously through the years, our headquarters, R & D, and manufacturing facilities still remain based in Saint-Etienne, France.

We have learned that true innovation is not simply work carried out at the research level, but also a comprehensive management and direct control of all the different production phases. The latest example of this philosophy has been the introduction of Beryllium in our top products, which has now become the worldwide reference. It was not long ago that no company was even capable of producing tweeters with a pure Beryllium foil dome. Focal innovated a solution based on research and the invention of specific in-house industrial processes. Such an approach has given us an important advantage over the competition: we develop propriety technology, which allows us to consistently produce quality products using methods that we have created.

This philosophy represents Focal’s entire Car Speaker range and our commitment to provide the best sounding, highest musical quality, starting with the entry level Access line to the award winning and industry benchmark, Utopia line-up. The result is a complete line of Car Speakers that has one goal: The most faithful reproduction of music and sound.

This is the Focal difference…and this difference is the core strength of our Brand and Our Company.

This is the Spirit of Sound

    boss hightech,

if i may... crescendo is a brand for car audio, which has been quite successful in manila. daghan na ang nakataod ani didto. haven't heard 'em yet, kay wala pa man ko nakasugat ug kaila na nagpataod diri sa cebu nga willing magpa audi.

Haven't heard peeps from the car audio realm comparing crescendo with focal. but i have come across installers who say that the crescendo sounds good.

Focal speakers on the other are noted for their highs (open and detailed, bright in some aspects). Midrange if tuned properly can be a great factor, in bringing out the voices of the singer, piano, flute, guitars..

The midbass for focal speakers, are quite different for the polyglass and kevlar series. midbass for polyglass seems to have more weight, but lacks the detail. midbass for the kevlar series has the right grooves in bringing out the details, but lacks the weight.

Focal speakers is not the epitome of perfection. it also has flaws as mentioned above^^....

some like the agressiveness of the Focal speakers, some seem to be turned - off by the said characteristics. But on a personal note, I love them. especially kung rock ang tukar... AC/DC \,,,/
