    Thank you.

my opinion, dont compare switches via thier brand names if you are aiming at getting the best switch for performance and reliability, rather compare the numbers that tell how good a switch is, example; switching capacity, throughput in Mpps, forwarding rate, latency factor, port buffer size and others.

    brand names? that is elementary!

    hehehehe, good luck!

but brand also could be a factor just like buying a china made motorcycle compared to a japan made one. and this is my point. who knows, somebody here got bad or good experiences on one or two of the said brands in terms of its built quality. i know already about what you mean, i need the experiences on usage from others of the brands said... i dont need to focus much on its technicalities for its only a 24 worstation network, a small one, a standard switch is smart enough to take care of the packets. toughness is much preferred for long life usage specially if im going to use it 24x7 in a frequent low voltage area and power failure (disregarding the presence of a UPS/AVR).

I may go with Linksys if we talk about brand names since it is actually owned and design with CISCO technology. However, if would be more wise if you look also on non-blocking specs, switching or bandwidth capability as well.

try to check if you have management capabilities with those switches and what features they bring with you. if you're only using it as a hub to connect workstations then i believe those switches doesn't make a difference

    me dlink gigabit switch

    it has never failed me.

aslo netgear is good as well.

I don't like linksys because of its price.

most electronic products are made in china.
