is cebu earthquake prone? are there any major fault lines that we should be aware of? in cebu, mandaue and any part of the island.
kanang mga geologist ngara please enlighten us.
at least we know if the place we are living is relatively safe. (earthquake wise).

NOT a geologist but basing sa structural conditions sa mga buildings diri nato, murag buidings ra sa ayala business area ang di ma-flatten kung naa'y kusog nga quake...
i can imagine haiti after-effects diri sa ato... ouch....

We don't know also asa ang fault lines diri cebu but all i know is that daghan bldgs. wa ni comply sa obo per structural standards and safety. So high risk gyud kung maatlan naa sud sa mga buildings better run for your safety kung may panahon pa makagawas.

diba naa man gyud map ang mga geologist sa mga fault line sa pinas? or applicable lang ang map sa luzon?
ka kita man gud ko sa i witness gabii. ma luoy nalang ka sa uban balay nga gi tukod mismo sa marikina fault line d na lagi ma sabtan ga hiwi na ang pundasyon tsk tsk...
after watching the program i got concerned. kung asa dapit sa cebu ang very high risk. or villages, barangays that are directly under a fault line.
