its not complicated. do what you like best. some may not like it but if you do it with all your heart then i think its already an achievement for you. thats why some bands prefer to be indie forever because they dont want they will be controlled by their record label to make songs w/c are not in their preference.dont mind them its you and your love of the music...rock on!

It all boils down to what your "priorities" are dude. If you're doing it for the music, then most definitely you won't care what others think. If you're in it for the money, then obviously adto ka sa ila ganahan.

Like what you said ... " how about playing what the people want ky dako ug kita ky daghan man mupalit sa album" .. that's selling out. Forget about the band's integrity... as long as the big bucks are being raked in.
Some bands compromise their "soul" so to speak just to get their share of the cake. We have bands re-inventing themselves just to feed the listening public they candy they crave for. We have solo artists jumping from one genre to the next because that's what the masses wants. We have underground bands getting signed (going against their principles) for the same exact reason.. the $$$$.
