    Default Meningitis (Viral Encephalitis)


    Do you have idea/experienced about Meningitis (Viral Encephalitis).

    (Viral) Meningitis is curable, you can have a dose of antibiotics to clear it up and with bed rest. Depending on the patient, it'll probably take a week or so. For bacterial meningitis, it needs a lot more advanced hospital care with penicillin and various different types of drugs to cure the disease.

    This is a rare case esp. here in the Phil. but I'd have to say having encephalitis isn't a walk in the park if we're talking about infectious diseases.
    Viral Encephalitis usually can be cured with our usual anti-viral drugs but the patient has to respond to these drugs esp. if that virus is just opportunistic to the brain. We also have to consider that maybe the virus is already immune to the drug.
    To sum this up, any infection to the brain is dangerous. There will always be damage whether it be minute or massive and there's not much we can do if the drugs won't work.
    Prayer is always the best.
