I am canvassing for a friend he has 40T firm for a gaming PC.. ang nakaapan lang apil pa daw monitor niya ani nga budget.. pref nya AMD Setup, what can you suggest guys, any bang for buck items there??

Gusto nya Presentable like nice daw ang casing, etc. then mid-high FPS sa mga games..

Not a complete spec post here but I would consider these the best bang for the buck

Inno3d GTX460-OC or MSI GTX560Ti-TwinFrozrII, even if your friend does not overclock, these cards are VERY hard to resist for the performance they offer.

For the processor, Id say grab the PIIX4 955BE.

For the power supply, Corsair HX650 or Silverstone 650Watts

Mobo/harddrive/RAM is pretty much dependent on what he needs, for the RAM go with 4GB MINIMUM.

If your comfortable with 2nd hand items, I've looked at isyot's IFS and seems to be good especially the motherboard and processor combo with a few haggling you might get even a better deal..

Isyot if you dont mind, can your i950 reach 4.5Ghz on air cooling or H50 ?

Procie: any Phenom x4 2.8ghz up w/cooler so maka stable overclock xa gamay daw
Video: Radeon jud daw, nag study pa mi sa 6950 kay Unlockable man daw ni to 6970.. note 1 lng video dili na kaya Xfire sa budget considering apil pa monitor ani.. daun BN pajud 1st option nya..
Mobo: mao ni jud wala mi idea, any good am3 diha na ddr3 tripple channel na affordable..
HDD: maybe 2 WD ,1 storage 1boot, and sa PSU where going to any below 3k hec/corsair/raptor/silverstone PSU's w/ a least 600 watts..

bali sa amo mapili-an diretso ra mi call Interpace/PCX/pcquickbuys/apc.. kung AVAILABLE ba sila na item... karon mi sugod.. Maybe A week from now mag assemble na mi..don't want masayop.. sayang pud gamay kwarta dili raba mi mga dato...

The 6950 is also a good choice, videocards are more of a preference though, I stick with nvidia because of their driver support.

Just to give you a heads up not all 6950's can be unlocked but its not possible to brick them due to the dual bios feature, some brands even allow unlocking and wont void the warranty.. I think sapphire and some others allow it.

When its unlocked though I would recommend you use the modded bios that still has the 6950 STOCK voltages and memory timings, alot of people fried their 6950's due to the higher voltages and tighter memory timing, its not the GPU that frieds but the VRM ( Power regulators )
