Let him be buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani; It would not change his records and the abuses of Martial Law anyway ... even those who are buried there will surely know Who is and Who is not a Hero in the real sense!

i believe he should be buried there.. for one, he was president for a long time.. although he did a lot of cruel things, the country couldn't be more progressive during his regime.. so, he deserves that at least.. and for crying out loud, he's been dead for far too long, why can't people just let him rest in eternal peace?!

i guess he should... after marcos for all he has done that left the country in a miserable state before.. did have some glory and good deeds left behind when he was the president..

marcos was a decorated statesman, one of the famous and ever prodigy to pass the BAR exam way ahead of his classmates and even at the end of his career he was tagged as an infamous man... we should not blame all of our misery on him..

after all, we have something to blame ourselves as well on the running state of our country.. the country cannot be singlehandedly run by one man itself (the president), the constituents has a share of its job to make this country work for progress sake...

    I would say NO.

The country has a track record for corrupt leaders. They bring this shame upon themselves at our expense. Inadequate justice system rarely makes them pay for their crimes and their families go on to live privileged lives supported by vast wealth never recovered. The cycle needs to end, the ordinary working people must send a clear signal that they will not forgive...... or forget!

    Honor only the honorable.

no matter how bad a person is, there is always a good side in him, I think he is also worthy to be buried sa LIbingan ng mga bayani. He has also contributed to the progress of the Philippines.

@reptoid - and you believe those rumors spread by leftist while denying the fact that the country run well while he was in charge, dont take only into account the last years of his rule where he became sick and country was run by those *****s behind Marcos that siezed the opportunity only to promote themselves and then pinning all the shit on the President when its time for judgement.

take a look at Egypt and Libya now, you think thier going democratic? the only thing happening is thier stock markets falling and western powers that are currently in a financial crisis will be able to recover since everything else has gone cheaper. get the picture.

everything has always been economic, its how the world has been shaped since the imperial age. notion of democracy, human rights and open media are some of the tools used effectively and perfected during the cold war. To be loved by the mob is influence and power after all.
