    Default Globelines ADSL Modem IP#?


    HELLO GUYS,
    How would you know your external ip# of your ADSL Modem? Coz we're having a problem in hosting a game it seems my buddies could not connect to my PC, all i've got is an internal ip add# when you check it on the network connections applet on the control panel. thanks in advance!

    Your external ip? Just go to www.whatismyip.com and you see your ip

    or access the gui page of your modem ..clik na WAN side.

    bro to set up a gaming server through a NAT router( kanang usual router nga gihatag sa globe or pldt dsl ) you need to setup some settings in your router para makitan imong server sa internet

    www.whatismyip.com is not gonna help since it's only gonna give out the ip his ISP routers has given him. The author is asking for his modem's IP.

    rumsfield: You have to know your modem first if it's a UHP or a bridge modem. To know one, a UHP has its own GUI and PPPoE inside the modem. A bridge modem is the opposite and requires a manual PPPoE connection on XP and WinPoET or Enternet 300 on W2k/98/ME. To access the modem's GUI, you have to do an ipconfig on DOS if you're on XP/2k or winipcfg on 98/ME without a connection to the internet. If you're able to pick up an ip which starts with either 10., 172. or 192., then you have a UHP modem. Type in the gateway address in the address bar of your computer browser and you should be able to access the modem's GUI. From there on, configure the PPPoE. If you get a 169 ip, then it is probable that you have a bridge modem.
