Default Ganoderma lucidum inhibits human breast and prostate cancer cells

Great news—exciting studies on ReishiMax GLp®

New, exciting research has been published regarding Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi). In a recently published study1, the biological activity of several Reishi supplements, including ReishiMax GLp®, were compared to determine their ability to maintain normal breast and prostate cell health. The study found that "the sample containing powdered extract with spores [ReishiMax GLp®] was the most potent in [supporting healthy breast and prostate cells]."*

The authors also noted that ReishiMax GLp® was the only Reishi product to identify standardized active constituents, and suggested that "the difference in potency to [support healthy cells] of the different samples of Ganoderma lucidum can be the result of variation in the concentration of the active ingredients." Lastly, the authors showed that cracking spores by mechanistic disruption (as with ReishiMax GLp®), increased activity by releasing biologically active components.*
A second study2 using ReishiMax GLp® was published in the winter 2004 issue of the Journal of Cancer Integrative Medicine. The authors concluded that Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi) may contribute to supporting healthy breast cells.
