I never knew that we were one of the oldest football team in asia (even baseball)...One of the pioneers...naunsa man hinuon na adto man tag basketball na kuwang man tag height...

Seriously, football is a professional sport (the most popular), chances are it can generate income through employment and tourism..

Football is still on the rise in RP and I think that coming up with a world class football stadium is just too ambitious.

1.) Daghan kaayo ug problema ang Pilipinas economically. Building a hundred million or probably a billion peso stadium won't help

2.) RP football should probe itself even more. Just because nindot kaayo ang performance sa Azkals lately doesn't mean that they deserve a stadium.

3.) RP isn't only good in football. In fact, daghan pa kaayo ug sports nga mochampion ang Philippines like in taekwondo. So far, mas dako ang potential nato sa taekwondo kaysa sa football for now so why not give equal attention to taekwondo?

The way I see it, everybody is so hyped up about the Azkals. But an impressive performance doesn't mean a stadium worth millions or even billions. Basketball took years to become a full grown sport in the Philippines and so is boxing. Pila kabuok prominent personalities ang niagi para mosaka ang basketball ug boxing and got really great support.

And speaking of support, I don't think that banking at the government is a good idea. Daghan na kaayo ug problema atong gobyerno ug lubog sa utang. If football is going to get massive support, they should do so with businessmen. Basketball and boxing are well supported by the private sector and that is why booming kaayo ning duha sa Philippines. But before that, they should prove it first that they deserve it and prove that football could be a very good business venture in the Philippines.
