The Anime that started Anime in The Philippines - Dragon Ballz and Ghost Fighter.

These are part of my childhood memories. I can still remember elementary pako ani. Apil ako erpatz tan.aw ani, liso2 pa ang amo tv(lisoon ang antena). Channel 9 pa ang Dragon Ballz ug ABC25 ang Ghost fighter. Then GMA got to show the 2 animes which made their station famous.

La gihapon niluma ning duha ka Anime. The very first anime na ako jud gisundan ky ang Dragon Ballz from the time na send si Goku sa earth thru his capsule. Dili jud ko kalimot ang pinaka first na kontra ni Goku is the Red Ribbon army weakness pa niya ang iya ikog ato na time.

Then he trained with the monkeys para mawala ang iya weakness sa ikog, sakay dayon xa kinto-un cloud which la niya gigamit para mokatkat sa tower ni master kame(katong iring na master ni goku) who gave him the "magic-beans". Of course ang number one na master ni goku ky ang iya adoptive father - master Roshi(kato naay turtle na pet) and his best buds will be the guy with no nose - krillin and his rich friend bulma. Together they search for the 7 dragon ballz.

Then here comes Eugene! Woho! He and his bud alfred started as a delinquents until eugene died saving a kid. His spirit went to the spirit world and because of his heroic death he was given a second life and became a spirit detective. So his adventures as a ghost fighter started.

Oh well, I can go on forever...


Bottom line these 2 animes, I dare say has started the anime fever in the Philippines.

Kaw, what was the first anime that introduced you to the Anime world? I bet daghan sa inyo will either say Dragon Ballz or Ghost Fighter.
