I usually buy by brand, then the model.

I experienced 2 Altec Lansing speakers (mine & office) with the their fuse normally blows up whenever it is on and the plug is moved (like a 7 year old cousin trip on the wire). I don't know if their products are still like that now.

I'm still pissed off with Logitech brand when I got a mouse that died 9 days after it was bought from PCX. It was outside their 7 day replacement terms. Took them 3 months before it was returned to me even if they still have stocks of it. I couldn't tell if it was replaced or repaired when it was returned. I'm staying away from that brand and PCX, lol.

Creative is probably the best speaker brand, but not the 5.1 that has no stands for the rear speakers. It's useless without them.

Most importantly, all PC speakers should turn off (like the monitor) when you turn off the PC.

both Altec Lansing VS 4121 and Logitech Z523 are 2.1, nya ang Creative Inspire T6160 is 5.1 na. advantage sa Creative sa surround sound, pero kung quality na hisgutan lamang jud ang Altec.

Sa amu experience with Altec Lansing, three ka units na ni agi namu and dali ra maguba sa ako na notice.. Even the ones we bought sa states kay dili mu last even a year.

Go for Creative.

im aiming for altec lansing, i have an altec lansing atp3 and i had this for 6yrs+, still sounds great. i also had a generic logitech mouse that died too early because of too much clicking in DOTA, not sure about the qualities of their speaker though.

creative should be great imo because they sell pricey sound cards lol.
