    Default dogs are man's bestfriend

I was a newbie at dogs.. I admit, I am even afraid of them.. But I bought one about 2 months ago.. A jap spitz mixed terrier.. A very "lambing dog".. he was 3months old when I got him.. Unfortunately, I was not that very much particular with his vaccinations and all the rituals you do to a dog.. after a week, he became weak.. Of course, i have no choice but to bring him to a vet clinic.. after which, the doctor told me he has worms.. so, not alarmed, i said we should deworm him, and he did.. But, the doctor said we cannot vaccinate him since he has a very low white blood cell count.. whatever it is, i do not know.. few days passed, the dog lost his appetite..to the point that i cut the tip of a syringe i use to give him his vitamins, and force feed him.. and then, there it was, he had a flu.. i saw discharges from his nose.. green one.. (eeew) so, i called up a family friend who is a vet and told him about his flu.. to my dismay, the doctor told me that he might have a viral infection that has no cure.. and yes, he was right.. he got a distemper virus.. a sickness that has no cure.. he could not be admitted since he might contaminate other dogs.. i took care of him for another week.. after a day when he turned 4 months, he left.. at his last day, you can really see in his eyes that he was trying to fight it.. to live for me.. he would even try to hide between two chairs just for me not to see he is suffering.. around 4pm that day, i really have to go somwhere to fix things, i told him wait for me.. dont leave without me coming back.. and so when i returned at 7pm, there he was, at the bed, lying, trying hard to breathe.. and i whispered in his ears, go.. its ok for me now that he'll leave and i thank him for coming to my life.. and there, you can see he was crying.. i hugged him, covered his body with my shirt because he was having a seizure, and 1 hour after he had his last breathe.. an angel left me.. i called up my vet friend and he told me that if only he was vaccinated completely, he could have not acquired the illness.. plus, the worms aggravated his illness.. after that, i learned from my mistake.. i now have a new dog and had him dewormed and vaccinated..he's is one healthy dog thanks to an experience that made me realize that dogs, are really not that scary at all.. they are like humans who also knows how to love.. and morally, i learned patience and to fight more than my limits for my loved-ones..

    awww....i feel your pain....

i just recently lost a very special puppy. he died from parvo virus infection.

the people i got him from did not vaccinate him.

when i got him i was planning to have him vaccinated. turns out he was already infected.

i saw how he suffered and fought..and then told him that if cannot fight any longer he can go.

he went away in peace 7am last thursday

i already have two dogs and i think my toy poodle is pregnant.

when she gives birth hopefully, i will make it a priority to have her pups vaccinated

i just had my other dog vaccinated. the 5n1 vaccine has to be given yearly.

i am sorry for your loss. he did taught you a lesson.

    i hope mine did too..
