    Default the new national heroes

post lang ko essay nako diri ha...
this is in response to what ex-US pres. Clinton said bout our people going abroad..

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

its been traditionaly held that our OFWs are our new national heroes.. they generate a huge income to our country... but is it really a blessing?...

they do provide our countrymen a source of funds in the form of remittances... but lets us ask ourselves.. where does this money going to?.. to tell the truth.. most of this money goes out of our country... its sad to say that we are a consumer country.. imported products are prefered over our local ounes.. in a way, there hard earned money goes out of our country..

much worse, they are killing the middle class group. which increases the difference between the rich and the poor... this is what mr. clinton referred as the brain drain.. we have so many talented people. but sad to say, its the other countries who are benifitting from our national treasure...

those people would be more beneficial if they stayed here.. it may sound idealistic but in truth is actually possible... our mentality is fundamentaly flawed.. filipinoes tend to go to established institutions and places.. they value security the most.. the filipinoes lacks the pioneer spirit.. it fears going into the unknown..

though we cant blame then.. it has been in our generation to be pessimistic bout our circumstance.. but the truth is, we are far better off that the US! some say its because of the corrupt govt. some say its the slow economy.. always remember, what you accept is true, will always be your reality..

the New heroes of our times are our entrepreneurs.. they provide jobs so that our fellowmen need not go to far places for a living.. it promotes healtheir families.. and also provides new services that improve the communities.. they have courage to face the risks and the negative views of our fellow filipinoes...

our new entrepreneurs have the vision and the courage.. they may face new and harder challenges.. but in the end.. they shall reap the rewards of their efforts... theres plenty of oppurtunities here in our country.. you just need to be creative and quick at grabbing oppurtunities..

right now.. i know there are lots of good business ideas... its kind of sad that there are only a few who have the guts... this few are destined to be the future rich-guys/gals...

i just want to point out that by "business", im promoting traditional business... i dont promote MLMS and brokerage of insurance/mutual funds..

    with regards to personal financel
if you want to start a good business.. i suggest investing on it first and foremost.. i strongly discourage investing first on mutual funds / buy-n-hold real estate as this would tie up you capital...

Hehehe! how about those people who don't have capital to invest in business? I think it is good to do dealership first to save your commissions and invest in a business that you like. T_T!

its not necessary nga delearships jud... if mag salesman nman lang gani.. i suggest kanang something nga tangible or knang solid goods like cars, real estate, or appliances.. ma hasa man imu selling skill.. i dont recommend selling insurance (though it has its own challenges), simply because buyers dont get immediate satisfaction...

you can save from your current job, much better, learn lessons from your current job..

ther biggest prob with capital is that, if mag save lang ka, you will never get enough capital...

going to debt is crucial here.. u use the bank's or the govt's money to generate you money..once you learn this, youll see starting and financing businesses is very easy

dont think what your country can dof or you, think what you can do for your country.. by creating jobs.. you are making the country a better place..

I understand your point bro, every industry has its own pros & cons.

But I think one should try many industries (if he or she wants) and find something he or she can really believe in.

If you want to sell something, try to think if what you're selling is an asset or a liability.

You don't have to be in debt right away, try to find ways to earn with a little risk especially when you're in a job and especially if you're the breadwinner. Increase your income during your spare time.

I do agree that entrepreneurs can make a very Big difference in our country's economy.

you dont always have to think of everything as asset or liablity.. your purpose as an entrepreneur is to offer goods and services which can improve the quality of life of people..

a car maybe a liability coz you have spend on it.. but it is a luxury coz it makes your day way more comfortable sometimes it is even an asset as it indirectly improves your performance..

little risk = little oppurtunity... remember, its hard to serve multiple masters at the same time.. i really discourage taking multiple jobs as it would 1st. reduce your performance on all jobs, 2nd, reduce quality time spent with friends and families...

find what you do best and do it with all your efforts...

its good to think bout finances once in a while but please dont make it the focus in your lives as you would become money-hungry people where you cant get enough of it.. let yourself indulge in the benifits of "liabilities" once in a while..

with regards to business plan... its quite a broad subject really...

with regards to marketing plans, it would depend on your areas of operation, but as much as possible, make your business model expandable to other areas

something most businessmen fail to do so... : the organizational chart- it defines the responosibility of each worker and it streamlines operation...

please read previous threads ive started with regards to starting busineses.. hehe
