Default Change brand from intel to amd. good decision ni?

mga bro, im planning to change my mobo and proc again... one month pa lang ni napalit.

    what i have now is an intel p4 524 3ghz, 533mhz fsb and 1mb l2cache
    and asus p5gpL-x mobo
    -1gig pqi ram ddr400
    -80gig hdd
    -inno3d 7300gt 256mb ddr3 pci-e

im planning to change it to an amd athlon64 3700+ socket 939
    and msi k8ngm2-IL socket 939

Note: with this upgrade, ako magasto ra is about P500 ky gamay ramanpud ang difference sa price sa ako pagbaligya sa buyer.

    My questions:
    1. How much do you think will the performance boost be? Dako kaha increase sa performance?
    2. Is the P500 im going to spend well worth the performance increase? (Mura i think yes, its worth)

    please give me your thoughts.

if you really want to see numbers, benchmark ur current setup now and then do a benchmark again on your new setup...compare the scores between each bencmark so you'll know the exact figures...for sure AMD athlon64 will beat your current Intel P4, no doubt...

i guess to maximize it. go for the x2 4800+
    and still use ur ram.

a dual core based on the Fx55 chip.

this chip kicks butts.. except the c2d..

not to mention it is lowered to more than half of it's 1001$ when it was introduced.300+$ now??

it had slightly higher price than the 3700+.

download and install benchmarking utilities like aquamark or 3dmark06 on your current setup...then perform becnhmarking tests using that utility and keep a record of the scores/result... do the same when you'll get your new setup and then compare scores...the setup that has a higher the score means that its a better performer than the other...
