Default When it comes to MONEY: What is your principle?

After reading and observing human behavior regarding how humans handle money [in books, magazines and in forums (like Istorya) and even my neighbors], I noticed that when it comes to money, there are only two types of people out there who are generally prepared to argue and debate about how these people think about money.

Want to know who are these type of people? (Drum rolls)

1] Those people who think they don't need money, and
2] Those people who think they need money.

For me, I really find it funny because when it comes to money, both of these people argued depending on what they believed in.

    One might say:
    - "Money is the root cause of all evil"
    The other one might say:
    - "Lack of money is the root cause of all evil"

    One might say:
    - "I don't work for money, I work because I love my job."
And the other one might say:
    - "I have to work because I want money"

Then a never-ending CHAOS of "wants" and "dont want's" debate about money then follows...
    ....
    ...
    ..
    .

Ok, don't get me wrong..For sure, YOU also have your own stand on this, right?
    Actually, me too.

But I was literally confused on where should my principle about money lie on this.

I remember, when I was a kid, I was taught by my teacher, parents, and friends that money is the root cause of all evil and that we should not love money.

However, as time goes by, I wondered why do they insisted and wanted me to go to school so that in the future, I'll obtain a good profession and earn a BIG income?

All my life, this thing really is very CONFUSING! ...and I admit it SUCKS!

This thing really made me SICK because even when I graduated as an Engineer in College and BEING to be hired by a GOOD IT company, I don't want to work.

    Why?

    Simply, because I'm confused.

However, I question myself, "Why did I tried my best in school when in the end, I won't work?"
That decision surely is STUPID. This made me go to work with bitterness in mind.

But the CONFUSION goes on and on until such time I opened my mind, put away any negativity and joined IMG and read a book written by Bo Sanchez (an IMG ally himself) entitled, "8 Secrets of the Truly Rich".

This generally changed my life and understood that there is in fact a third type of person.

Want to know what and why?

Just PM me but erase first any "negativity" in your mind and be open minded.

money is the reason why you posted this...

    Yup. Everything has reasons Bro.
    My reasons are:
    - I need money in order for me and my family to survive but only live within our means (this is one of the greatest things I learned in IMG or from anyone who is financially literate and that is to "live within our means")
    - I also need money in order for me to increase my tithe (as a Christian) and my help to other people (this is what Bro. Bo suggested or from anyone who is financially literate)

...and this is what I identified as the third type of person, those who need money to LIVE and to GIVE.

    Thanks for your comment anyway.

If money is the root of all evil, then try to live without one.

Yup.. it's actually IMG's noble crusade to help people build a strong financial foundation and I'm proud of being part of it. In fact, not just IMG but other legitimate financial institutions as well (Insular Life, Pru Life, Sun Life, to name a few). All we need is just to be open minded and listen to what they say and I assure you that you'll understand the most boring subject in class yet the most important knowledge in life.

Though, I, myself, is a member of IMG yet I would also insist that you should read also other sources about financial matters [I recommend Bo's books and Blogs]. There are really a lot of learnings that you'll gain with IMG and other sources.

But bear in mind that the ultimate learning that you'll gain is on how should you separate yourself with the money you have, BUT, before anything else, start building a solid financial foundation first.

This is the 3rd person I am referring to and that is the one who needs MONEY in order to LIVE and GIVE more at the same time.

And again, before doing such, I would rather suggest that we should have to put all first the "negativity" that runs in our mind. I assure you, one could never learn if that "negativity thinking" exists.

...we believe that LIFE is more important than money...but we have to consider that money is important to support life...
