Wa pa hinuon ko naka try sa sigma, but the Canon 70-200 f4L, the lightest in canon's 70-200 series and very sharp even wide open at F4 unya creamy kaayo ang bokeh.

go for canon 70-200.. sigma 70-200 has an excellent AF system pero in terms of IQ, fair.. IMHO

hehehehe kauban ra ni sa istorya sa 50mm prime vs kit lens (18-55) .... a kit lens can do 50mm daw, but the 50mm cannot go to 18mm and 55mm. but bisan unsaon nimo ug bali bali, the kit lens cannot complete with 50mm in terms sa IQ.

on the otherhand, try shooting sigma 70-200 @ f2.8 and sigma 70-200 @ f4.0 ... and try to compare the IQ.

besides, its not JUST about f2.8 vs f4.0 ... another most important part is the lens construction and the type of material of the glass being use as well as the type of filters you use on top of your lens (if any).

which means if i have a canon 70-200 f2.8 and a sigma 70-200 f2.8, it doesn't mean they will produce the same IQ. Mag depende na sa glass material (ex. UD) and lens construction.

And of course, QA sa company.
