Basin naa kay 2 or more partitions sa Hard drive bro..and ang isa ra imong gi reformat (usually Drive C) and other drives kay possible naay virus nga mo-disable sa TaskMan and RegEdit.

my guess naa sa mga application nimo ang mga virus... are you using crack?, try this always work sa ako mga client -

1) Reformat the main drive or include the drive that you want
2) Install an AV, i recommend MS Security Essentials, its free as long as your OS is validated.
3) Disable first the System Restore, this is the culprit that always restore the virus... make sure it is turn-off before running your AV... you can turn-it on later...
4) If you have Search&Destroy try running it kay effective siya (FOR ME) sa registry...

Always remember destructive virus that automatically run are always installed in system directory... so disbaling the system restore is crucial... avoid using crack as much as possible, try searching for a fixed exe rather than cract-patch... usually its a trojan...

PS: Its better do a fresh installation, DONT install any application unless you installed your AV/FW first...

matangtang man... unless your installer is inffected or bugged... thats why better use original or clean installer...

ive tried before naa gihatag sa akoa nga Windows Installer sa 98SE nga bugged siya maski unsaon nakog reformat naa ra gihapon... just like a surgeon doing an Operation... you cant do the operation if your tools are not sterile...

this is the usual steps i usually do -

1. Reformat and Partition Disk (I rarely recommend upgrade i rather do fresh install for security reasons)
2. Install OS and activate (NOTE: make sure your installer is clean and not bugged)
3. Install AV, update virus db and do a full scan.. just to make sure
   
4. Turn off System Restore Point
5. Install Updates and Application you always used.... Remember step #2 note

as you can see i never turned on the System Restore Point... theres a reason for that.. if your PC is used by the multiple user, the possibility of being infected is high specialy they are using those USB Drive the modern day Floppy Disk (virus carrier)

and remember regularly update your AV to keep you PC clean...

na try mo na bro reformat ntfs file? dili katong quick format.., or try another hard disk,, basin may bad sector na hdd mo..

Sakto si salbahis sa iyang mga tubag..... naka experience nako ana nga nag install ko per drive c ra ako gi format nya ang virus diay naa sa drive d: hahahaha... dapat AV dayon after OS. pero depende na nimo bro kay ako kahibalo ko nga safe tanan ako installer pede ra after nako sa AV... Unless kong naa pa service kay backup man ko sa ilang data before ko mag format then naa jud ko extra disk para sa backup.
