I have heard many stories of brand new hard drive failing within weeks from purchase. Now if this happens to real brand new ones, what about used hard disk drives?
Let me add, what are the tips in buying a used hard drive?

Brand new hard drive failing = TRUE
Used hard drive failing = TRUE
Pero ang brand new if it is failing, pwedi raka mo ask ug replacement pero dipende kung pila ka months ang replacement.
Used hard drive, by "LUCK" if you trust who you dealing with its OK, you can get some FREE Juices (Files) if you can unformat the drive.
I go for the brand new one, but if you are tight in budget, go for used drives and get to know who your dealing with.

So far, All my hardrives came from Buy and Sell section. I don't really recommend buying used Hardrives but when your budget is tight go for used ones as what smarkies stated above get to know who is the seller.![]()
hala oi, nag post ra ba ko sa buy section kay ngita ko used hard drive. mag brand new na lang tingali ko noh?
sayang man ako pc kay ok man tanan, except the hd.
Tips in Buying used Hard Disk Drives:
1. The Sticker or label in front must not be altered, labi na Seagate - not showing any signs that it was transferred from another Hard disk
2. Buy Seagate because you can check RMA status and have it replaced if there is something wrong
3. Check health status with Hard Disk Sentinel software
I dont care who the seller is as long as "locatable"
Replied to your PM.
Lisud kung mo uli paka to check the current state using the software, kung mo uli paka to test dayon inig contact nimo sa seller DI NA MA REACH hahahhaha, and some seller hasolan na mo baligya kung mo adto paka sa ila imong pa testingan. IF they offer nga mo adto paka sa ila to test the HD then its good to gomao na some site naay reputation or feedbacks to know how realable the seller is.
In my case,I prefer my buyer to pick it in my house kay Hdisk seller pud bya ko...(endorsement)?...
luckily i didn't have any problem yet with the 2nd hand hard disk i bought.
