What is the best place to put your bearded dragon?

If i would get a bearded dragon, would you suggest using a wood based verarium?
and is there anyone that can tell me what proper substrate i can use since pure sand can cause
impaction and is dangerous for his/her self.

news paper for me is the best^^ kung madala pangita ug place nga semi indoor and out door, like wat i did is ako cya ge place ang sudlanan sa terrace wer in the noon its soo hot para mu bask cya. and like half sa ako sudlanan nila na a shadow kng nahan cla mu cool down^^ for me mau ni pina ka best no need of mga lamps ^^
