how to block internet&admin rights

hi all istoryans,
nag post ko dire before unsaon pag block sa mga local users using internet. it was successful at first kai ako g gamit MAC address sa Linksys WAG200G pero after a few days naka internet sila balik. nakabalo ko nga tanan PC sa office naay admin rights. so mao ba ni ang reason why maka internet na pd sila balik? nag gamit mi ug DHCP nya ako wla ko alamag regarding networking and admin stuff. ako lang ang gipa handle karon sa server kai kabalo man ko sa hardware stuff dile sa networking side.mag ask na pd ko ug help ninyo kng kinsa ang kabalo unsaon nako pag restrict nila sa internet and restrict sila nga ma change ang settings kng mao to ila g buhat. please i need bisaya nga step by step guide unta. thanx alot sa inyo tanan tech savy istoryans.. hope to read from you all soon! )
i know there are different approach on how to do this. so lets see whos' style beats the best. thanx alot again sa tanan...

bro, unsa imo gamit nga router. i know most linksys routers do have a internet access restriction nga feature.

ang DHCP kay sa IP Address, regardless unsa pana iyang IP, you can play it with the MAC Add.
ang MAC address is physical address sa hardware so fix na siya.
Imo gi restrict through MAC address?
If imong router capable ug simple na MAC address filtering, then kaya ra kaayo na.
Kuhaa ang MAC Address sa PC sa imong granted users na mka internet,
dapat imong configuration allow to MAC Addresses para outgoing (internet)

If everything fails, pag proxy nalang

na check na nimo bai ang Security setting sa imo router? I think thats the model with option in the firewall to restrict Internet traffic...I think you can set the policy there.

see link above bro..supported kaau sa imo router ang mac filtering..you can restrict or give access only to those PC nga need ug internet connection..

hi boss iamyourdeath,mk,kensh1n,jdimpas & icecold: i did it with my linksys WAG200G and filtered it through their MAC address.but the problem after ug mga 1 week they were able to connect to internet again.
sir iamyourdeath: i were able to put all MAC nga dile mu connect sa internet. sakto nga link pd imo g hatag ug sa ako g setup pero problem kai after few days maka connect na pd sila..
sa setup/subnetmask kai default 255.255.255.0 which is correct pero kabantay ko murag naay mga 5 kabuok nga na apil pd ngadto...maybe ila i change ang ila subnet mask sa other 5 nga ako nakitan para maka connect sila sa net? possible?

P.S.
if naa mo insights unsaon pag remove sa uban subnet mask much better unta. maybe mao ni maka connect sila using a different subnetmask.nya naa mi 5 nga extra nga naka butang sa linksys... kng pwede usa ra unta which is 255.255.255.0

bai fern, imo users are via wired connected PC dba? or wireless?
kun Wireless, then restricting via mac para dili cla kakuha ug IP is the simple solution.
kun wired dili na mag silbi with the type of network you have.
tan-awa sa firewall option bai kana part you set the internet access policy (its not mac address filtering)...more on ports restriction man na.
Ug gusto ka more complicated approach, pwede nimo disable ang port forwarding or filter it to the range of IP sa imo users.

sir MK ako g check ang firewall settings pero wla jud ko ka kita where nako i set ang internet access policy..wla cyay option nga ing ana dire sir.ako gamit Linksys WAG200g. wla cyay option ani sir.
