Nokia Launches Four New Phones

Nokia has unveiled four new phones, of which three are targeted at the ethinic, fashion-conscious consumers, while the one is inspired by the nature and the sculptural beauty of the body.

The three Nokia phones 7390, 7373, and 7360 are an addition to its highly popular L'Amour Collection launched in 2005. According to Nokia, the designs of each of the models from the latest L'Amour Collection are inspired by the tribal art and ethnic decoration. These models have an exotic design and sophisticated features with aspects of embroidery, 3D applique, ceramic tiling, and other traditional decoration with embossed leather finishes and graphics.

The Nokia 7390, a sleek fold phone combines professional elegance with a modern edge. The company's first 3G fashion phone features a 3 megapixel camera and WCDMA high-speed connectivity. It offers video calling and comes with an in-built music player with one-button access. The phone is available in two colors; Bronze Black that gives a masculine feel and Powder Pink, a combination of ceramic white and powder pink.

The Nokia 7373 is based on ethnic patterns with a compact swivel design. It features a 2 megapixel camera, video player, and twin stereo speakers. The phone packs a complementary fashion headset, pouch, and phone jewelry. It is available in three shades; Bronze black, Powder Pink, and Black Chrome along with a range of complementary graphical themes.

A subtle-styled Nokia 7360, with accents inspired by metal, leather, and transparent surfaces, features stereo FM radio, integrated camera, MP3 ringtones, and Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging.

The Nokia 7390 and 7360 are available in two color options; Bronze Black that gives a masculine feel and Powder Pink, for the girlish charm, while the Nokia 7373 comes in three colors; Bronze Black, Powder Pink, and Black Chrome along with a range of complementary graphical themes. All the models from the latest L'Amour Collection are expected to begin shipping around last quarter of the year.

In addition, Nokia has also unveiled its latest premium mobile phone, the Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition. The phone design with a thumb print as the signature feature is inspired by nature and sculptural beauty of the body.

The soundtrack of the Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition was composed by the avant-garde musical pioneer Brian Eno, who is considered as the "father of ambient music."

According to Nokia, the name Sirocco is derived from the powerful desert-born wind that originates in the Sahara when a warm, dry air mass collides with the cooler, maritime air of the Mediterranean.
The Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition with premium user interface features high quality stainless steel metal cover for superior durability, 262,000 colour displays, 2 megapixel camera, and an extended battery life.

The phone consists of two variants; light and dark, where the light is inspired by the hot, dry air mass, while dark by the cooler, humid one. It comes with a complementary Bluetooth headset.
The four Nokia phones 7390, 7373, 7360, and 8800 Sirocco Edition are expected to be available at an estimated retail price of EUR 450, EUR 350, EUR 200, and EUR 1000, respectively, without taxes and subsidies.
