I am just concerned with our men in uniforms. Their lives might not be that easily be taken if the commanders just try to re-think their strategy. Each individual soldiers lives should be protected and not thought of as a pawn in war.

@ GARYG ... as an ex service member my self , the presence of ARMED FORCES in a HOSTILE AREA doesnt mean only to engage in FIREPOWER . The presence of these UNSUNG HEROES are for the reasons of :

- HUMANITARIAN SERVICES
- PROVIDE HEALTH and COMFORT to the LOCAL CIVILIANS
- PROVIDE SECURITY and BOOST the MORALES of the LOCAL CIVILIANS
- SCALE the AREA for FUTURE CLEANSING of INSURGENTS / REBELS and TERRORIST etc

Yep, u have a point bro, definitely true.. Ang mga rank and file rebels (ASG, MILF, NPA) kay mukaon ug sardinas, buwad ug mga utanon, unya sila pa jud ang mo kaon ug mga bala og bomba, while their leaders are in other countries, living in condominiums, beach resorts, etc... For example.. NPA leaders are in the Congress receiving pork barrels and government power.
